Your new role

The role of the Automation Project Manager is to lead the definition, planning and execution of projects within the strategic SMART Factory programme for the production facility.
Responsible for the end-to-end project lifecycle for the implementation of operational technology (OT), automation systems and innovative proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives.
Responsible for secure and compliant control systems aligned to industry standards and pharmaceutical GAMP guidance. 


What are we looking for?

Essential:

  • Prior experience delivering automation projects within a manufacturing environment.
  • Developed project management experience from design through to configuration, implementation, commissioning, and validation.

Desirable:

  • Project management experience attain within the pharmaceutical / medical device industry.
  • Implementation of projects related to advanced robotics, cobots, or mobile robotics.
  • Implementation of projects related to SCADA and IT / OT connectivity.
  • Degree qualification in engineering, automation, or related engineering discipline.
  • CEng / IEng or working towards professional status.
  • Professional membership (i.e. BCS, IET, ISPE).
  • Project management certification (i.e. CAPM / PMP / Agile)
  • Health and Safety certification ISOH Working Safely / Managing Safety (or similar)
