Your new role
The EMEA Legal & Intellectual Property Department provide high quality Legal and IP support to Eisai’s commercial, medical, research, regulatory and administrative activities in both the Eisai EMEA Region and globally. This is to ensure compliant operations and IP protection for Eisai’s current and future brands.
The purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the whole department including the management of patent and trademark formalities. Responsibilities include to:
Complete formal administrative requirements for filing and maintaining patents and trademarks, including docketing, grant and annuity procedures.
Provide paralegal IP support to regional IP, research and commercial teams.
Obtain and maintain the department’s members’ professional memberships and subscriptions, financial administration and the signing and legalisation of documents.
Collaborate with internal and external legal/patent counsel and external providers.
What are we looking for?
- Fluent in the English language (oral and written).
- Relevant patent formalities experience gained either in a broad-based intellectual property or patent attorneys’ professional practice or from working in-house in a life sciences business.
- Ideally a CIPA qualified patent paralegal / administrator
- Knowledge of commercial role of IP in pharmaceutical industry or willingness to learn.
