Your new role
- The primary focus of the People Manager is to provide the highest quality of People support to designated Eisai business functions so that they can achieve their commercial objectives. The People Manager takes a lead role in developing and implementing Eisai UK and EMEA People strategies, programmes, activities, policies and procedures to support the current and future needs of the Eisai EMEA business. As such, the People Manager works closely with all members of the EMEA People department in the UK and across EMEA, and other relevant departments as appropriate.
- The People Manager will provide leadership activities including, but not limited to:
- Supporting the work of the Associate Director, People - UK, Ireland, Netherlands and Nordics
- Designing and implementing inclusive People strategies
- Contributing to the Eisai EMEA People Plan
- Leading, managing and evolving both Eisai’s wellbeing and mental health programmes
- Collaborating with Learning & Development on shared goals, e.g., supporting talent management programme activities at a local level
- Recruitment support
- Business advice and support
- Employee relations case management
- People Operations
- Anything else reasonably requested to ensure that the EMEA People Team supports their business colleagues in the achievement of Eisai EMEA’s business objectives.
The People Manager is a key role within Eisai’s People Team in providing senior level People information, guidance and support to colleagues.
What are we looking for?
- Graduate or equivalent. MCIPD Qualification preferred.
- Eisai’s European corporate language is English and the successful candidate must therefore be fluent in English, both written and spoken
- Broad experience in Human Resources ideally working in a matrix structure and supporting operational colleagues on a wide range of employment issues
- Ideally, experience of Human Resources gained in a life sciences context
- The personal presence, drive and capabilities to be viewed as a highly effective member of the People team
- Strong interpersonal skills and a flexible approach to supporting the differing needs of colleagues.
- Can quickly establish credibility and build strong working relationships with department heads and managers. Demonstrates maturity and professionalism.
- Strong communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate clearly, sensitively and confidently at all levels, in meetings, in writing and by telephone.
- Confident influencing and facilitation skills.
- Well developed organization, prioritization and time management skills - ability to deliver and negotiate demanding workloads and projects with conflicting deadlines to multiple customers working to high level performance standards.
- Able to adapt to changing conditions with the ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
- Pro-active and positive approach to the workplace and commitment to working flexibly to support achievement of departmental and ultimately Eisai Europe objectives.
- Strong IT skills and self-sufficient in the utilisation and application of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint packages.
- A ‘can do’ attitude toward all tasks required to support them.
- Adhoc travel when required.
