Your new role
As a Research Site Operations Administrator, you will be responsible for the following duties:
- To provide secretarial and administrative support to the Senior Director and the Research Site Operations team,
- To have specific responsibilities for the operation, management and provision of effective administration systems and processes.
- To facilitate meetings, including booking rooms, sending out invites and taking minutes.
- To log and act as a point of contact for helpdesk tickets for the HRL facility and ensure timely completion of corrective works. To feedback the status of jobs to HRL facility personnel and RSO management if jobs are priority or require escalation.
- To become the subject matter expert for RSO for the One trust system, Maximo, SAP and Ariba systems.
- To act as link between the scientific staff within HRL Facility, Business Effectiveness and EEL Finance Dept. regarding all aspects of HRL facility purchasing and goods receipting.
- To participate in ‘Special Projects’ dependant on area of responsibility and knowledge.
- This is a permanent, part-time position (4 hrs a day/5 days a week)
What are we looking for?
- Educated to GCSE level with A levels or equivalent an advantage
- Training in office administration skills and /or good administrative background
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise workload
- Good time management skills and self-motivation
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work well within a small team
- Ability to effectively communicate at various levels as well as communicating with external suppliers, service providers and senior scientific management.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
